The second annual Trigon Sports MOSD Golf Tournament proved to be a huge hit!

The day started out overcast with a chill in the September air. But  as the golfers left the clubhouse, the sun came out providing the perfect day for golf! Players and volunteers were treated to a delicious lunch by King Cotton, given goodie bags full of items from our multitude of sponsors, and sent on their way! MOSD staff speech therapist Mary Ellen Legg took team pictures throughout the day with each team member receiving a group photo as a thank you for playing!

After a gloriously long day, the golfers gathered in the pavilion for awards and a tasty dinner provided by Leonard’s BBQ and St. Clair Food. 

We are pleased to announce the winners and teams from this year’s golf tournament!

• Flight One:
  • First Place went to Chris Kruntharpt and Mike Gunter. the team from EMHC who swept the course with a score of 54! 

• Second Place, also with a score of 54, was secured by the Friends of Lisa Terry Team, which included Nate Smith, Nathe Hendricks, Skip Hannah and Bill Edwards. 

• Third Place, with a score of 57, won by the team Friends of Rivers who were Allen Kimbrell (River’s Daddy) Mike Porters, Bubba Rowland and Cory Alger.
• Fourth Place, with a score of 58 from Wagerman/Katzman Law Firm was Howard Wagerman, Mendy Katzman, Rhonda Katzman, and Michael Katzman.  
• Flight Two: 
• First Place was won by another EMHC team, with a score of 60 and led by Michael Arnt, Ron Kim, Dave Thomas, and Ray Ann Schalfer. 
• Second Place, with a score of 61, went to team Mphasis  – Venkatesh Iyer, Jon Bascom, Kevin DeMilt, and Alan McAfee. 
• Third Place, with a score of 61, was won by A & B Distributing James Lunsford, Brian Richardson, Richie Hampton and Bryant Cashion.
• Fourth Place, from First Tennessee, with a score of 61, were Josh Sullivan, Bobby Scott, Lisa Cook and Alan Ferguson.  
• Flight Three: 
• First Place, with a score of 63, was attained by the team from Wells Fargo – Scott Merrigan, Jeff Rosenberg, Danny Mansberg and Tom Gorwald.
• Second Place, with a score of 63, also from Wells Fargo were Nathan Pera, Zack Vaughn, Gene Katz and Ron Shinault.
• Third Place, with a score of 63 went to the Memphis Grizzlies Team- Brandon Anthony, Kevin Keiser, Chris McKee and Dave Thornell.
• Fourth Place, were Dennis Burling, Stewart Akin, Robert Castleman and Perry Larimer who played for Wells Fargo’s third team.
• Fourth Flight:

• First Place, with a score of 67, were Team Bacardi players Dennis Lee, Bret Rodriguez, Joe Harrison and Brenda Hitt.
• Second Place went to Cook Systems players Josh Bostic, Matt Reese and Bob Phillips        with a score of 67.
• Third Place players from Auto Zone were Rusty Phelps, Howard Townsend, Michael Isreal and Jason Greenwood with a score of 67.
• Fourth Place went to Team HP players Gregg Dewire, Lela Smith, Mike Curia and Charlie Winfield with a score of 68. 

 Participants competed in “closest to the pin”,“hole-in-one” and “longest drive” contests as well as best overall scores.
